Saw that Asylum brushes by Semogue dropped over the weekend. I picked up the Premium Boar. 26.5mm knot, 58mm loft. My knid of boar! Also have mistura, finest and synth available.

Always liked Semogues, they always seem to punch over their weight (price), are well built, and I never had any issues with them, except one painted one that came as a free gift, where the paint started flaking.
Incidentally, that convinced me to avoid painted wooden brush handles as it had happened before with two other brand painted brushes as well.
Conversely, none of my lacquered Semogues (i.e., my SOC brushes) ever showed this, but that is probably due to the differences between paint and lacquer.
Interesting brush handles, but the “Asylum” name has something mental, like in “disorders of the mind”, about it, doesn’t it?

I suppose collecting more brushes, razors, gear, etc. than one could possibly use in a lifetime is some sort of a mental disorder. But that's why most of us are here.

Yes indeed!
And far less expensive than collecting vintage autos, custom knives, fly fishing or most of my other ‘hobbies.’

Mistura was next on my list but I opted for the Pegasus C7 Mistura instead.
