Brush restoration Try No1

Ok I recently got four old brushes and thought I would destroy one and try and fiddle a bit..


So here's what I started with..

Probably worth a fortune but wt......


Quick haircut, a few hours with the dremel and here what I have..

Bit more work required with the sandpaper and some wood varnish but ultimately it will get a new Golden Nib hair do like this..

Right I'm off to Bunnings (the local hardware shop) to get the finish.

Jeez this is fun.

I think I'll be posting a few WTB's on the BST..

I'm working on my first restoration and I think the hardest part is deciding which knot is the right one. I wish I had bought an extra knot (the next size up)!

Hmmm... That brush looks familiar. In fact, that picture looks familiar ...
