brush handle design

I decided i will try my hand at making a brush using

leopard wood it comes in 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" square stock would that be perfect for a handle or would i need something in 2" x 2"

depends on the size of handle you want to accomplish. What kind of handle are you trying to mimic?
or you trying to make your own custom?

1 1/2 X 1 1/2 square stock has worked for me with knots up to about 26mm

Unless you are after a 30 mm brush, 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 is all you need. That is the most common rod size for plastic turning blanks intended for have brush handle use.

lol found 2"x 2" cheaper on a different site gonna try a custom design

Generally I prefer 1.75" sq minimum. Room to really do some sawdust makin'

good to know im going with 2" square stock ill post pics when i start the process. ill have enough stock to make a couple or more
