Brillant cousins

When I first located these I thought they were called "Brilliant." But no, they are actually Brillant, and are quite attractive and effective light wesight shavers. Now that I have a few, I thought I'd share a couple group shots.

Please add your photos of your Brillant if you've got some so we can expand this listing/thread.

Lovely sets & great photography Jake! I'm also interested in knowing how these razors rate in the aggressiveness scale.

No ugly ducklings in this family. Very nice pieces here. Question, what about the slants draws you to them so much?

Thanks Gents. The blade exposure is pretty decent so they require finesse when shaving. Light weight so they're deceptive in their aggressiveness. And they aren't slanted. Just those large heads which may give the impression of being slanted.

Jake my friend, I admire your persistence and tenacity to chase these treasures down. And then treat us all to the eye candy. Without your ever so generous contributions and pictures we would never ever get to see these rare beautiful razors....thank you for sharing.

Thanks Alex. I appreciate your comments. And you too should be acknowledged for your continued and consistent support for this forum. We all appreciate your insight, comments, photos, and helpful information on so many topics and throughout the forum. Really helps make this place the cool destination it is. Thanks!

how much razors do you have in your collection?
Good question. They continue to come and go (speaking of Michelangelo), so the numbers rise and fall as the weather changes. My wife also asks me this question now & then, so I will have to take a count. But I think it's fewer than 200, and certainly fewer than many of our esteemed brethren here -- like Mark, Achim, and quite a few others. But I'll take a count -- I might be surprised myself.

Never heard of this Brillant brand ... But they're a great find!

What can you tell us about the company?

Where and when were they made? Are they an off-shoot of another label, like Merkur is to Dovo?

Very nice exposé Jake, thanks for putting up the great pics -- I always appreciate the Teutonic side of your collection.

Brillant is German for brilliant. Everybody's right!

Those razors are great! I didn't know Brillant had that many models! I was lucky enough to acquire an adjustable "de Luxe" in pretty good condition a couple of months ago, but I have not shaved with it yet. Maybe tomorrow I'll give it a go. Thanks for sharing!

All roads usually lead to Jake's collection. Here's mine, funky handle unknown. Fine shaver on its aggressive side (asymmetric cap yields differential exposure)!

Any clues to vintage @Jake ?
