Brian Brown custom

Just got this in yesterday. When Brian first revealed it in the hobbiest thread I had said this was my favorite so far. So when I got notice it was for sale I had to jump on it.

It's not a huge razor like most customs which is one thing I really like about it, measuring 11/16. Needless to say, it's a wonderful shaver.

Antique Hoosier

What a leap forward in contemporary razor design by BB. Super good looking blade and attention to detail. 11/16 is a wonderful size and proves all customs don't have to be 8/8, 9/8, 10/8 to be a wonderful work of useable art. Enjoy it Rick!

Beauty. Majority of the customs are so huge I wouldn't touch 'em and have that "HEY, LOOK AT MY RAZOR!" kind of feel. THAT, on the other hand...very nice.

Don't get me wrong, those big boys are exceptional work as well, just not my cup of tea.

Really nice looking razor Wid. I must add it's refreshing to see a custom in a more practical smaller size. Nothing against people who like big razors, I just find the custom world is a bit over saturated on huge monster 8/8 - 10/8 razors which don't really suit my personal taste, but that's why they're customs then I suppose eh?? :) Nice choice!!

Thanks for the nice words.
Rick,
Glad you like it.

Evan,
I'll agree, you mostly see 8/8 & bigger customs. To be honest the reason it's like that has less to do with the maker and more to do with the buyer..lol
If someone contacted a maker about a 5/8 custom, I don't think any would say they wouldn't do it.
The problem is there aren't as many buyer for smaller customs (normal size :biggrin1:)
Here is a example. I had 4 razor I sold. 2 8/8's, 1 7/8's and 1 normal size one.
They also sold in that order... biggest to smallest.

One must cater to the market I agree, nothing against that. I'm just glad to see someone with a custom I could see myself using. :)

I like a 5/8 to 6/8 razor for daily use, this one is a perfect size for me. As you all already know, a 5/8 razor really measures 11/16 from the spine and the 6/8 measures 13/16.
