Boker in Maple Burl

So...unfortunately I broke Paul's worked back Boker that I decided to work on after months of putting it off :001_rolle. So I decided to work on another completely unrelated Boker that is mine and the result is below

If you're familiar with this blade, you can see that I needed to cut a piece off the heel where the previous rust had formed a small crack.

We'll see if I can find a similar one for you Paul

A special thanks to Ray for slabbing out that block of maple. I couldn't have done it without you :thumbup1:

Man I do love that Maple Burl. I've been waiting to see the end results, missed it the first time. Great job Jim!.....:thumbup1:

I have a set completed for a Dubl Duck that I was working on, but I decided to repin it after I had already honed it. Long story short, don't leave an unscaled, honed razor laying in the kitchen...or your wife will put a big chip in the blade when she takes it to your work bench :o10:

That's hilarious :lol1:

How does it shave? I found the exact same blade with the point broken off, so I plan on grinding it down and putting a new edge on it.

It shaves very well. I really like the feel of Bokers in general, and this one feels better than most I've used.
