Blue tip

A lot of fans here of red tips etc but i never hear much about this razor, i used it last night after my dissaster with my eveready and it was one of those razors i felt safe with straight away, put a derby in it and wizzed around my face felt a bit like my aluminium tech, a safe bet, not a bad shave though i will now use it all week and see how it goes for me, what about any one else on here, like/hate them, not even a review up on this razor?

The Blue Tip is considered to be quite mild. For some reason, the board seems to prefer aggressive/ heavier razors, and hence the Blue Tip receives very little fan fair.

My experience, is akin to yours: about on par with a Tech in terms of aggressiveness: I love my Tech, and probably shave with it, or one of my Tech clones most often. :tongue_sm

Cheers for reply, aggressive razors are more popular on here as you say, i have just finished 2 weeks of shaving with my aristocrat which was an excellent shaver but i was weary of it and gave it respect, this blue tip though is so different and easy to use and great if in a bit of a rush

I enjoy my Blue Tip. I haven't used in a few weeks, but I may take it with me when I go out of town this week. I think it is a great razor, your technique has a lot to do with how it shaves IMHO.

I'm sure the Weishi razor's were heavily influenced by the Blue Tip. Almost identical results. I have owned both and sold both.:wink2:

I'm still enjoying my blue tip, it basically is unable to give me irritation from bad technique and my go to for quick shaves as all ready said above.

I've got lots of DFS shaves from this blade, personally I'd recommend this one to start for newbies so they can work they way up to the more aggressive razors and figure out where they stand.

I guess as you shave better you can go for more aggressiveness and most users here probably improve and expand so it gets left behind ..

Well, I'm probably doing it backwards then, but I just bought my first blue tip, looking forward to it. Mine is a '55, was that the first year?

My Blue Tip is one my dad bought in 1959 and gave to me this summer. Pop a Feather in that sucker, and you'll get a truly dandy shave!

I have a blue tip in my rotation. One of the first razors I ever owned. Not my favorite but it is a fine razor.

It's a Superspeed.
I love Superspeeds, and the Blue Tip is no exception.
I do have to say that it is my least favorite of the Superspeeds due only to its weight.
It shaves just fine.
