I used electric razors for about twenty years. I had at least half a dozen razors through the years, and for the last decade, actually used a rotary razor for a pass, then a Braun for a second pass. I thought I was getting a close shave, but would usually do an evening shave if I had something important going on, to get rid of the five o'clock shadow. Since switching to DE, a second shave is a thing of the past. My face feels smoother now when I get home from work than it used to after my morning shave.
