Blade mis-alignment problem - Schick Injector "G"

I recently received a Schick "G" injector from a very generous member here on B&B.

It's a real beauty but it has a blade alignment problem. The sharp edge of the blades, instead of resting flush up against the little "bumps," rides up on top of the bump on the right side of the razor. The blade is "off kilter."

I've tried a few blades in the razor and always with the same result. Has anyone had the same problem? Does anyone know if there's a fix for it?

Take a tooth pick and push that end of the blade above the nib.

but it doesn't like to "stay." It creeps back to that position on top of the bump.

is the return spring tight?

Without a blade the top and bottom sections (that squeeze the blade tight once inserted) seem pretty tight and aligned. There's no real play anywhere on the razor.
