I know blades are very subjective and what works great for one guy could be torture for someone else but how much does the blade coating factor into it? If I try a blade that has a platinum coating and it doesn't agree with me or my face then will I be more likely to have issues with other platinum coated blades or are other factors in play that will affect my perceived performance of two different brands of blades that are both platinum coated? If I hate the Israeli made platinum blades will I be more likely to have a similar experience with Astra SPs or Gillette 7 o'clock platinums(black)??

I don't think about the coating, brand, country or anything. I just randomly buy, or not buy so much anymore, stuff from all over and see what works. This way, nothing gets over looked and you develop no bias toward anything.
My top three blades are platinum coated on one, 'just stainless' on another, and the third doesn't even state.
