Blade case

In the travel razor that I inherited, there is a metal blade case (upper right in the image). Does anyone make a metal case designed to hold a pack of DE blades? That would be a nice addition to my travel kit. Thanks!

That looks like an older razor, and I'm sure that they didn't have cases for packs of blades back then. You might want to go to a high school where they have a vocational program. In the sheet metal or machine shop you could talk to the instructor about what you're looking for. They might want to take on the project as a learning tool for the students. I've done this before for several things. They can use the project, and all it costs you is material. Might be worth looking into.

I use a Zippo lighter case found at an antique store. I removed the wick and flint and presto--blade holder.

The Zippo case sounds like a great idea. I know I've got one around somewhere if I can find it (probably gave it away though).

The voc-tech idea would have been good, but they're all gone. My brother was one of those Shop teachers, but they have disbanded all of the "hands on" classes that used to teach kids how to actually do something useful. His was the last class in the county, but they cleared out all the work benches last year (one of them is now sitting in my own shop) It has been replaced with computer-based junk that probably accomplishes little more than "improving their self-esteem". Oh well...
