BK breakfast rant

My wife is sick of me complaining about it so I thought I would gripe about it to you fine folks. I absolutely cannot stand the new ad campaign for the Burger King breakfast menu. The jingle, the idiots with the flute, the singing all drive me nuts. They are on every commercial break of every football game and I can't get that jingle out of my head. It has made me anti-BK, almost anti-breakfast. I know I can't be the only one, it's almost as bad as people who drag their fork across their teeth when they take a bite of food(got chills just writing about that). I had to get it out my system, thank you for your support.

I remember when things were simple, and BK just had the crossanwich and french toast dippers...

I love a good dose of mob mentality.

*grabs torch and pitchfork*

What annoys me more than the jingle itself, is the use of the word "epic" to describe the flute solo. After I see that, everything goes black, and everyone around me has a black eye when I regain consciousness.

I will never buy anything that is aired during a football game. That means no Bud or Miller, no Ford or Chevy. Frankly, I think you need to do one of two things.
1. Change the channel to the other game or tv program.
2. Utilize the mute button.

Doing these two things allows you to enjoy all that football has to offer, without any of the commercials. I find myself changing the channel. With the length and quantity of the commercials these days, you can watch other programs and still watch the entire game.

Ahhh, feeling better already, like Calvin from "Calvin and Hobbes" once said,"Nothing helps a bad mood like spreading it around." I knew there were haters out there. :thumbup1:

YES! YES! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to make this same post. It is the new "Saved By Zero" or "This Is Our Country." I cannot stand it. Can. Not. Stand. It.

I was actually wondering about this the other night. Do the Burger King executives think that these commercials are going to persuade people to go to BK? Do they have a test group who respond favorably to these commercials? Like others have said, they make me want to do the opposite - never go to Burger King again. And if they decide that these commercials should continue to the run, do they not think that maybe they're overdoing it? After seeing the commercial for the 30th time during a three hour game, do they not think, "Okay, maybe we're going a bit overboard here and pissing people off." Who is making these decisions? It is bewildering.

The other one is the Ford Edge commercials with some female singer whose song is something along the lines of "Oh-oh. Oh-a-oh-oh. Oh-a-oh-oh-a-oh-oh." @#$% @#$% @#$%!!!!!!

Hate those BK commercials!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Others on my ad-hate-list (both Dodge ads, IIRC):
-"My name is Ram and my tank is full" - seriously?
- "you have a brake disc that is this big, we have one that is THIS big, hap-py birth-day" - are we three year olds?

- ice

THIS is the first BK commercial that bugged you?

I'd put BK down as the creator of the absolute worst TV ad campaigns (other than the "Call before midnight tonight" ads) ever. Each one, since the terrible "Have it Your Way" drivel of the 1970s, has been progressively worse.

i don't have any sort of tv signal coming into my house. i watch stuff on dvd and occasionally netflix. very rarely i will fire up hulu.

That's me exactly, aside from Hulu. I've never used it, though I hear it's great. I'm on a strict diet of Netflix and my own DVD/Blu-ray collection.
