What's new

Birthday Ebay lot, mostly OC

So I won a lot off of ebay on sunday, I found it because of the Aristocrat but when I saw what was in it I couldn't NOT bid. The seller was maybe an hours drive away so it showed up this morning and I couldn't be happier. First I'll post the group pics, then the individual pics with my amateur identifications and we'll see how well I did.

#1 This one matches up with the 1926 Bostonian Gold on Mr Razor. Underneath the top piece it has the number 118813 and around the base it reads
PAT. Jan 13, 1920 U.S.A.

#2 This one closest resembles the 1921 New Standard on Mr Razor excepting some text shown on Mr Razor is not present on mine and the head is different, I'm gonna need help on this one most likely. Underneath the top plate is the number 29470 and reads around the base
PAT. Jan 13, 1920 U.S.A.
Other Patents Pending

#4 Looks to be a '48-50 Aristocrat. Notched but with no date code

#5 This I think I can safely say is a Tuckaway. Top of the baseplate reads 813726B

My RAD has been in remission since I got my second Aristocrat, but I've still been keeping my eyes open for anything interesting or unusual and this pinged my radar so I figured it would be my birthday gift to myself. :D If you guys want any more pictures let me know and I'll do what I can. This is the best part about these lots for me is finding out what I got! I got a can of scrubbing bubbles and some baking soda & tinfoil for the one I am pretty sure is silver, I'm gonna hold off until tomorrow so I don't get ahead of myself.

What a great cache of razors. There is a timelessness in their simplicity of design and function. Who on this website doesn't appreciate a mindfully designed and constructed DE razor? I agree, Nice score--Enjoy them.

Yeah sorry, I was just trying to get pics up and a quick description. I'll try to get more pics up as I can and get them cleaned up.

OK, you'd know better than me *LOL* I don't even know what that means. Thanks for the help. I hope to be shaving with these in the coming weeks.

The bullet-less open-combs look like a pair of NEW De Luxe, one chrome and one gold. Both would be circa 1930 with serial numbers, 1935 without.

Yes, a pair of NEW Deluxe razors!!!! Not commonly found, since not many were produced. The new ownership of Gillette stopped making deluxe razors shortly after the takeover - the country was in the middle of the Great Depression with not much market for high-end consumer goods.

Congrats on an outstanding score!!
