Bigelow v. Proraso?

Is there a big difference in the scent of these two creams? I shaved with bigelow this morning and i smell like I bathed with doggy shampoo...normal scent or bad tube?

They are pretty much the same.

Can't help with the "doggy shampoo" impression as I don't get that from mine.

My Bigelow is wonderful stuff! Same as Proraso as far as I can tell.

Never got the doggy shampoo impression.

Regards,

David

A pity that none of the bath and body works stores around here carry the Bigelow in-house. It's all mail-order.

Bigelow and Proraso are the same shave creams. Proraso makes the Bigelow cream. The same family has been making Proraso for 90 years.
Fine shave creams but no doggy shampoo sensation here either. Both products are made in Italy.

Well that all I need to know!

Thank you Marco.

Those three products are all made by the same manufacturer, that is Ludovico Martelli Spa, from Florence. It is also the same manufacturer of SMN.

And also,

Figaro = Fitness = RazoRock

These 3 products are all made by Biochimica Spa, that was the manufacturer of P.160.

If it's "made in Italy", just ask. :thumbup1:

Bigelow ends in a consonant. Omega and Proraso do not.

However, the w at the end of Bigelow is silent.

Coincidence? I think not.

These 3 products are definitely and totally different. No similarities whatsoever.

( Guys we must keep this debate proraso=bigelow alive and flourishing as it is vital to the well-being of our site. No controversy or difference of opinions and we shrivel up and die!)

At work we have 2 medicine balls that weight about the same. One is black at 13.5 pounds and the other is blue 15.0 pounds. Almost every person you ask after holding them thinks the black one is heavier. I have even taken them over to the scale and weighed them and still have had a couple shake their heads and say "I still think the black one is heavier".

If I was to run a test and just asked which one looks like it weighs more I could bet that most would pick the black one. Why? because black "looks" heavier than light blue.

A perception that overcomes reality and ends in denial. :)

I'm normally not this smart sounding, my brain must have gotten off its leash.

Remember grammar school. The vowels are "a,e,i,o,u and sometimes y and w"

Bigelow ends in "w" and it could be treated as a vowel.

-As well, all three have the same number of syllables.
-Proraso and Bigelow have the same number of letters.
-Bigelow and Omega share three of the same letters.
-Omega and Proraso share two of the same letters.

I agree, this is no coincidence..... must do more research.... starting with purchases of all three

Ah, I stand corrected. http://grammar.quickanddirtytips.com/when-is-w-a-vowel.aspx Apparently it has something to do with the Roman Emperor Claudius, the Welsh, and Seventh-Century Runic writing.

I sense the Templars behind all this. Next time I use Bigelow I will be on the lookout for Rosicrucian symbolism.
