Beauty Strokes H.I.S vs Muhle Synthetic V2

All the love for synthetic has convinced me to dive in to the new realm of synthetic shaving brushes. My apologies if this been discussed somewhere else (I did use the search function), but I'm trying to decide between:

-Beauty Strokes H.I.S
-Muhle Silvertip Fibre V2
-Muhle Black Fibre

Anyone with experiencing that can compare the Beauty Strokes to the Muhle brushes? I almost exclusively face lather but prefer a larger handle for easy loading of the brush.

Thanks gents!

Well, the Black Fibre has been revised to use V2 fibers.

All three are Generation 4 fibers with the other Generation 4 fiber being the Frank Shaving Pur-Tech.

Now as to the feel, the fibers are in the same class but the knot construction is different for each. The Beauty Strokes H.I.S Original 28 mm brush (steer clear of the other H.I.S. offerings) is conventionally knotted with a large 28 mm using straight fibers at approximately 60 - 63 mm loft. The brush will splay and tends to make a greater mess face lathering.

Now the FS Pur Tech is also in a 28 mm knot but has a Chubby like handle. It is is conventionally knotted with a large 28 mm using straight fibers at approximately 47 - 53 mm effective loft depending on glue bump.
This because of the shorter handle and loft is very effective face lathering.

Muhle Silvertip Fibre V2 has in my opinion the best constructed knot using a mix of crimped and straight fibers and is hand made. My 25 mm V2 is very effective for face lathering although the handle is smaller along with the knot. The construction of the knot makes up for the size differential.

The Muhle Black Fibre uses thinner and is machine made. It tends to be the least dense of the bunch but has excellent flow through. Many long term users like the flow through and this makes a great face lathering brush.

I hope this helps.

Thanks that has been very helpful. It seems the Beauty Strokes H.I.S is out due to its large size (avoiding their other offerings), so I'll be placing an order for the Muhle Silvertip Fibre. It also seems like the best constructed knot imitating the crimps and bends in natural badger hair.

I've went ahead and ordered the Muhle V2 faux ebony in a smaller 19mm knot (50mm loft). I'm more comfortable face lathering with smaller brushes, and the loft size is already at my desired maximum. Based on videos on Youtube it looks like a real winner. I can't wait to give it a try.

My Muhle STF 19mm arrived today! This was my first synthetic and I'm surprised at the softness and the backbone. I did 2 test lathers with MdC and Speick cream. Both just exploded in a ton of great lather. I've never seen so much lather with so little product with Speick before. Very happy so far with this brush, it looks like a keeper.
