After serious flirtation and a number of dates with straight razor shaving I have come home to my Super Speeds and am a happy man. I recently picked up another 1947 model and find it's just a bit more aggressive than the 48-50 model I've been using. Still like the feel of these 40s style better than the 50s style. And it's great getting a two-pass DFS in about ten minutes.

I do, and it works very nicely for me.

But I agree with you about the Superspeeds, simply amazing pieces of shaving technology. Nothing better has come along in DE shaving in the last 60 years.
