Battle of Undefeated teams

The Saints start a 3 game crucible next week. Three teams which are, for the moment, undefeated. First victim, Miami.

Are you ready for some football?!

Great team, but Brees is no Brady. Not a Patriots fan, but that was a beautiful thing to see. Like a work of art.

Only Denver and KC are left!

That's where you're not entirely correct. If the Saints would have been down with a minute to go, the same exact thing could have happened. The problem was, that we couldn't run the ball when we needed to run the clock out. And that ignorant tackle out of bounds that stopped the clock. Brady should never have had an opportunity to get the ball back.

Also, referees apparently aren't allowed to called penalties against the Patriots. Missed holding calls all day, garbage false start against the saints, when the patriots players clearly moved first, not recognizing Brees' time-out, or at least calling delay of game.

I'm just bitter... we're still tied for first. I just hope Jimmy's ok.

As a Saints fan, if you had told me at the beginning of the season that The Saints would be 5-1 at this point, I would have said, "Count me in." Especially the last two weeks (at Chicago and at New England).

With that being said, wow, what a collasal melt-down. The Pats gave us the game on two occasions and twice the Saints gave it right back. After the interception the Saints D and Rob Ryan were celebrating like they had won. Heck, I was (at my parents house with my kids) packing up my stuff getting ready to go home. The next thing I know its third down with about 1:30 on the clock. What the heck happened on the first two plays from scrimmage (I missed the plays because I was packing up)? I thought NE had no more time-outs left.

Anyway, The Saints have a week off and will start over in two weeks. It's a long season and The Saints are in the driver's seat in their division.

I am in complete agreement. We're tied for first in the conference with a three game lead in our division. I just wish we were going into the bye with a bit more momentum. We're about to go into a brutal stretch in our schedule (Buffalo and NYJ not included). I still think we can finish the season 13-3 or better, it's just going to take finding our running game. For me, the take away from the Patriots game is that we won't have to face Tom Brady any more this year. Of the quarterbacks we have left to face, only Romo (choke, choke), Melty Ice, Scam Newton, and Russell Wilson (wow... nothing derogatory to say?) are the ones who scare me most.

Not a Cowgirls fan, but I think Romo is a good QB. I have Russell Wilson on my fantasy team (don't judge me) and he is holding down an otherwise good team. That dude does not score any fantasy points.

No, but the Saints (after yesterday anyway) still seem susceptible to the big play, and running quarterbacks just know how to navigate through our defense. Cam Newton, especially... No matter how bad they might be year to year, the Panthers always play us well.

And none of us have forgotten
