Barbasol Pacific Rush After Shave

I recently picked up a bottle of this at a local Dollar General. It is loaded with menthol and feels a lot like "Alcolado Glacial" regarding the intensity of alcohol and menthol. When I went on the Barbasol website looking for it guess what its not there. So I am thinking its discontinued. No wonder I paid under $2 for 5 oz.
Maybe I should go back to the store and buy them out

Actually, I think it's new, and just not on their website yet. Their Pacific Rush shaving cream just came out recently and says "NEW" on the can (yea, I bought a can, sosueme)

I'm going to be getting some of this in a swap....haven't found any Osage Rub around here, so I'm hoping that this will be an acceptable cheap chiller.

This is some good stuff for sure. It definitly has a strong menthol kick that will get your face nice a chilled out. I aquired mine at a local Dollar General store for $1.75, and it is worth every penny.

I received an email reply from Barbasol. Actually you are correct this is a brand new product and has not hit there website yet. This is really nice stuff if you like menthol. Its loaded

Try Dollar General Store. The store near me had plenty and I think another member said he also got it there. Very cheap at under $2 tax included.

Thank you for the suggestion! Hopefully other stores will sell it. The nearest Dollar General Store is 20 miles away from me and near nothing that I want to go to!

I picked some up this morning - The scent is nice, but faint. It doesn't smell as nice as AV, but I'm willing to give it a try. I picked up some DG house brand Sensor carts while I was there - I want to see if those any good while I'm testing the Pacific Rush.

I picked some of this today as well and it smells pretty good. I was going to pick up some of the Brisk along with it, but didn't. I can't wait to try it tomorrow.

No Dollar General store in my area. We had a Dollar Tree open near me, and the shaving stuff was pretty lame...cheap disposables, some Barbasol canned shaving cream and nothing else. Zero aftershave stuff.

Dollar Tree rotates stuff in - so don't write them off. About a year ago they were selling Skin Bracer Cool Blue for a buck a piece and a couple of weeks ago they had Brut Revolution (I'm stocked up). Since they get closeouts, it can vary - but worth a visit any day.

Agree with all said about the PR, just has no glycerin so to me it doesnt feel as nice to the touch, but it is really mentholy

havent tried the brisk yet, but I am looking forward to it. Someone said to keep an eye out for the musk also.

They had only one bottle of musk at my store and it was stuck in with the Pacific Rush - so no home on the shelf might mean it's been discontinued.

I tried the Pacific Rush, and man it's mentholy. My face tingled for a full five minutes, at least. If you compare it's ingredients with AV, they're fairly similar, with menthol falling in the same place in PR as it does in AV. Anything extra (and unpronounceable) int he PR comes after menthol. I know that's not a perfect comparison, but it wouldn't seem that the PR was loaded with menthol compared to AV - but it's there, you can feel it.

Also there's a weird note in the scent, that I didn't detect until I'd used it for the first time and now I can't get it out of my head. It's so familiar, but I had a hard time with it - I was thinking mint (like spearmint) - but now I think it might be the menthol (which I know is mint derived) - When I try to think where I'd smelled that particular scent before, I think of muscle rub like Icy Hot.

I don't know. This is weird cheap stuff. If you're looking for cheap menthol kick - then get it. Like someone else posted, I wish it had glycerin. It's got propylene glycol and hydrogenated castor oil which are cheap substitutes for glycerin - but it's cheap stuff.

i'm not a big fan of it.bought some a few months ago and there is an odd floral scent to it that i just cannot get past.i did not think the menthol was allthat great either.YMMV.
