Baratza grinder arrives

OK... so I order a Starbucks refurb and they send a Maestro Plus. Refurb? I guess so ... Anyway this is a step up, Right?
Funny thing is, they still have the Starbucks grinders on their website but almost nothing else.
Guess I'll try it out in the morning. Grind setting about 35 for French press?

Seems like a good place to start for press; I did a 40 at one point with a problematic Virtuoso refurb to clear out a jam, and it was too coarse (maybe percolator range, I don't know).

The Maestro Plus is better than the Sbux model (it has a timer for one, but also, the base is molded black plastic, not silver paint, which is prone to flake over time). The "guts" are the same, so the grind results will be identical - it's just a better bell/whistle.
