Bagged a 3 piece Shavex razor

Just arrived today...a 3 piece English Shavex razor.
I believe they were produced in the 1930's. Got it for just over £10 on Ebay!

If it doesn't shave well, the handle is going onto my New Deluxe (see below).
The Shavex handle is solid brass, and with the New Deluxe head, weighs in at a respectable 74g.

Well this morning I shaved with the Shavex, and wow!
It's a very smooth and efficient razor. A lot of feedback, and very easy to use.
Used Mystic Waters Marrakech soap and an Israeli Personna blade.
I was very impressed!
This is a keeper!!!

Using my super-ninja shopping skills, I picked up a Shavex for almost twice the price paid by OP. The baseplate is rather thin and not confidence-inspiring, but the quality of the razor as a whole seems quite high. I could not get a modern stainless handle to fit, so I used the perfectly adequate original handle.
The shave was delightful. A bit milder than I usually prefer, but very smooth and infinitely forgiving. It almost felt like I could not hurt myself even if I tried. For effectiveness, I would compare it to a NEW SC or perhaps a UK flat bottom Tech.
The Shavex is definitely an under-appreciated razor ...
