B&B Photo Contest-October VOTE

Lamb Root won the August contest and he picked, Running Water, for this month's theme.

From his PM, "Any interpretation can do. Rain, vapor, snow flakes (that's a hard one IMHO), tap water running, a creek or a river, water splashing of any kind (waves breaking, or something dropped in a glass of water e.g.). I think that something like that can be expressive enough to make it interesting to watch, and open enough to see all different kinds of ideas connected with water movements."

Theme--Running Water
Rules--You must be the photographer, one entry per month, try to make the image a recent one.

The winner gets bragging rights and the pick for the December contest's theme.
good luck everyone!

Cameron Falls, Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, Canada. One of my favourite places.

Geologists date the exposed rock to the Precambrian period.

Folks, until further notice, the coffee mug part of the award is on hold. The mug was provided by B&B, but overseas shipping costs were not considered when the mug was offered. Since we don't want to exclude anyone from the contest, we will not be offering the mug as it would need to be CONUS only. Sorry for the overzealousness on my part as the new steward for this forum, I offered the mug without thinking of the cost of shipping to our international members. We will try to come up with a suitable solution, but for now the winners get bragging rights, and to pick the next theme as originaly posted by AllenG. Thanks.

Hope the surf in this one counts enough. I didn't have any film examples of running water handy, so this is a digital shot from our honeymoon. Taken on a beach in the Cayman Islands. I did a little editing in Light Room to take focus off of the model in the foreground and give emphasis to the breaking waves.

I see one too, now that you mentioned it. Otherwise I would say that you have a big bush on your sensor :biggrin1:

Nice pic!

I wasn't sure if this photo qualifies for the running water theme but since there was no mention that the water must be in liquid form or that its movement be perceptible I have decided to go ahead and post this.

Berg Glacier flowing into Berg Lake from the north slopes of Mt. Robson, the highest of the Canadian Rockies. Sorry it's a little fuzzy but I kind of like it anyway.
