Ok, now that you have looked at pic how big is the snake? I posted this pic and several other close-ups along with a short description on the snake to a facebook group another facebook group picked up just this shot and posted with just credit to me and the location. People saw it and assumed it was a huge snake and stated sharing it saying they couldn't believe a state park would allow this huge dangerous snake in the park where someone could be hurt, saying they they were going to boycott the state park. I saw how much attention it was getting and commented letting people know that it is only harmless Dekay's brownsnake and is only a foot long and that it was was just taken with a very wide angle lens held very close to the snake. A local newscaster saw the pic and even interviewed me for a spot on the news. So this entry is about the power of lens choice and camera angle.

Cool photo and story! Some people don't understand. It's nature. The snakes and other critters live there. We're just visitors.

I vote for #8 as it is a very creative way to express the idea of the assignment. All photos this month are excellent and all photographers who entered should be proud of their work. I enjoyed all of them.
