Just grabbed these two razors off the bay. SRP gave me a history on em. They arrived in the mail today. They are in good shape but need some deep cleaning. Not sure if I like the Slick because of it's size. May have to PIF that one after refurb. The Palmer is everything I've been looking for...heavy, wider blade. Looks to be a near wedge. Both (along with another I have) will be getting new scales as will two razor blades only I also scored off eBay. Oh yeeaaaah. It's on now.

I agree, I have a couple of small blades that are great shavers.

Excellent scores! They look like they ought to clean up very nicely. Is there any reason for the new scales? Both of those scales actually look to be in top condition, I would keep the stock scales imo.

Meh, I like nice-non flemsy scales personally. These scales are soft and very bendy. Besides, I want to learn to make my own scales anyway.

As for the small size of the Slick, I had one before that was the same size and just hated shaving with it. The seller didn't give the size of it so I wasn't sure but tis still in good shape!

Good score! Enjoy them both. I have a smaller razor (Vienna scraper) that I use at least once a month. It's small but I equate with driving a sportscar. It's fun and agile.
