Asymmetrical DE blade assembly

My recent post about my 1st Emir set missed the asymmetry of the head assembly. So I added some additional photos at the end of that post, but what a clever design for this remarkably effective shaver.

I guess Ikon & maybe a few others are making razors with a similar design, but the Emir seemed to have mastered this design back in the late 1930s.

Looks a lot like the "Frimu" I picked up a while back.

Very interesting. Which side is more aggressive, or are they about the same? And is the handle hollow or solid?

Yes, the head is very similar to your frimu. Interesting that the designers must have communicated -- even possible before the days of email! Thanks for the photo of your razor.
