What's new

As bad as it gets...almost.

So, I was about to complete what promised to be one of the best shaves I've had all week, when something rather morbid happened.
Perhaps not morbid but, grotesque at least; Something one would not, generally, expect to ruin a shave. A nose-bleed.
Not just a nose-bleed but, a torrential deluge.

I have weak capillaries in my nose and high blood pressure to boot. Not a good combination.

I was completing the second pass on the right side of my face when this happened and needless to say, it put a halt on my shave.
Now my face looks lopsided. :mad2: Good job Weiland.

A close relative used to have problems with nose bleeds until he had the troublesome capillaries burned away. Apparently it is a simple procedure which is not especially painful and the problem is solved permanently. Ask your GP!

I haven't had one ruin a shave but they are a regular occurrence with me. I took SWMBO'S van to fill it up for her yesterday and when I bent over to insert the nozzle, here it came. Before I could get my handkerchief out, I had bled all over my shirt. I got home looking like I had visited a slaughter house instead of a gas station. I get absolutely no warning when one of my nose bleeds occur. My GP says I will have to be referred to an ENT for the procedure. I thought that the cauterization process was done chemically. My stepson had it done and the doc just inserted a cotton swab with the cauterizing agent on it up his nostril. A few seconds later, he was done. No more problems to this day.
