Artist Club - Cobra Classic Question

I'm toying with the idea of picking up one of the Artist Club razors - the SS folder probably - and I already own a Cobra Classic that I've been using Feather Professional blades with (with amazing success).

My question is: Will the Feather SS or DX for that matter - using Feather Pro blades - give me anything better than what I'm getting already using the Cobra Classic with Feather Pro blades?

I suppose you could go to the Feather Pro Supers...but I understand those will fit in the Cobra Classic as well.

No, I don't think so if you classify your shaves as amazing now. If anything it might be harder for you on certain XTG and ATG passes.

However, you are able to constantly control the blade angle on your face, so it is possible you could get better shaves in the long run. It's also more fun with a straight vs something with a safety bar.

I have both and while I wouldn't say one shaves better than the other, I found at first and continue to find the CC easier to use and get effortless shaves with. That's not to say that the Feather can't also give wonderful shaves, but the learning curve is much bigger.

I haven't tried a super pro on my CC but I think it would work. It isn't a very precise system for mounting the blade.

I think you can get a close shave with fewer strokes with a Feather AC or clone. You just have to be careful. I can get a very good (DFS) shave with two passes using an AC. With the Cobra, I usually have to use a slight bit of scrubbing. However, both are great.

Normally the super pro's don't fit correctly in the cobra (I did place one in it thinking it was a professional and started to shave but noticed it didn't worked like it should). The CC is a great shaver, second best only to my feather and kai razors but that's personal for someone else it could be just the other way around. Maybe it's because I'm used to straights?
