That era stone is kind of hard to come by these days. They are great stones. You’ll rarely see a black with that label.
Man is that the one that was just on EBay? Couldn't force myself to bid on it knowing it would likely get astronomical. It sure would look good hanging out with my other Arks.
Big premium for Pike label, condition, rarity and reputation. Old Nortons are cheaper and just as capable......

My Dan's Arkenstones (6 x 2's). All excellent. The Washita and Soft are used for knives, the Black gets used for both knives and razors (razors post-coticule--truly an excellent progression)

Not mine, but on loan from my friend Scott, a Dan’s blue-black Ark (blubark?) 8x3x1. Really sweet.
Added a 8x2" Bear to the collection.

6" x 2" is plenty of stone. Any more than that is just showing off.
I don't think that box matches the stone, if it's an Ark... They oil filled synths... I dont think they ever oil filled Arks.
Yes, when I saw the "oil filled" I was like, what does that mean, this translucent aint oil filled.
They reused a crystolon combination stone box and just put a new sticker on it.
Norton was always pretty free and easy about the boxes. I’ve seen several with a sticker covering something else.
