Anybody tried this razor/handle?

I have not used the product myself, but past discussions of this razor have indicated that the plastic adapters are very cheaply made, not very durable, and they don't work very well.

The general recommendation was to simply buy a custom handle for the type of cartridge you plan on using most often.

Trac II, Atra, and Sensor handles are all sold, although the Atra seems to have less customs than the Trac II, and Sensor.

Roughly a year ago when I saw looking for a upgraded Sensor handle, a member had one of these on b/t/s. I pm'ed to ask why he was selling it, and, if I remember correctly, he said that the adapter was too flimsy for his tastes and recommended a dedicated Sensor handle instead. Hope this helps.

i see that it takes the Atra and Sensor carts with an adapter. just wondering how good are the adapters? do they wobble or is it a good fit?[/QUOTE]

I have that razor handle, it gets really slick and hard to manage regardless of which blades you try to use. The adaptors work, but are awkward because they stick out so far from the head. As has been said, it's better to get a specific handle for the head, and there are better Trac II handles out there.

i thought it might be too good to be true. i really like the Sensor XL carts and wanted to try the Atra and maybe the Trac II's and figured this would be nice if it works.

col conk sells a chrome handle for the Atra and i have found a couple for the Sensor. shavemac sells come for the sensor but at $60+ its a bit more than i wanted to pay. ebarbershop sells a handle for the Sensor also but its gold and i do not like gold/yellow metal (yes im picky) but for the price i could live with it.

I wonder if the Schick Quattro handle will work with the Atra or Sensor. I guess if i hadnt trashed the one i had i could have tried it. anyone know its compatable?
