What's new

Anybody seen this?

I went to a antique mall & picked this up for $15 after talking them down from $25. I think it was pretty neat looking and unusual in that it had a hard plastic piece under the metal plate. The handle looks really nice and it came with a metal case. Anybody have even seen this type of razor? What exactly do I have & how old is this? I would greatly appreciate any feedback from my fellow gents about this! Thanks!

Thank you GDCarrington! I thought someone would know this particular razor! I'm thinking this razor is a pretty mild shave but I guess I won't know till I shave with it. I'm going to have to try it out and then post some feedback on this.

Does this razor take standard DE blades? it seems some of the Laurel razors took a special blade.

Pretty cool, though. I hope you get to use it and report back.

Actually found out this particular razor only uses a particular type of "dumbbell blade" only made for this razor..... Bummer. :confused1 h well, still neat to have in my collection.

I researched this razor more on the web and found out it only takes those special blades by Laural. Maybe that's why it is in such good shape because it wasn't used much due to the difficulty in finding those "dumb bell blades".
