What's new

Anybody here any screaming last night

Last night I settled down to watch a movie,it was called Kick-*** and I really cranked up the home theatre system. It was a pretty good movie but when it was over I went to the bathroom and saw in horror that 4 of my colognes had fallen off the shelf, none of them broke but my scuttle broke their fall and yes broke my scuttle. It was a dirty bird 1.5 that I waited a month to get and only got a few weeks use out of it.I am still in shock.
I guess I should not have gotten such a good subwoofer.
I will no longer have any cologne on that shelf or anything else in a glass container.:mad3:

Yes...my wife. Geez, sorry about your loss of a good scuttle. At least you know your system is top notch :thumbup1:

So that explains that howl of anguish I heard last night. Sorry for your lost, it's a real pain to lose of those shaving accoutrements. At least your subwoofer works.

Ouch! That SUCKS! But now I must ask about your home theater setup ;-) I'm currently rocking double subs, (10in and 12in) and have finally goten the crossover where I like it. I have them focused to the viewing area, and they rarely wake up the twins when I'm watching a movie.

Mike

P.S.
Spy, that was FUNNY! or maybe that's just the way I took it...

I feel better that I'm not the only one who has done this. I've never broken anything shaving related but I have knocked pictures off of the wall or other stuff off of shelves.

you know, being in East Texas myself, I do slightly recall some loud, unhuman noise while I was taking the dogs out before bed......or that could have been my response to the copperhead a few feet away

Good thing the colonges didn't shatter. A few months ago, my wife knocked over :mad3:one of my colonges accidentally and the place stunk for three weeks. It's much better used sparingly....

Which cologne? Are you positive it was an accident?

That's horrible! Sorry to hear about your scuttle breaking. At least with mine the handle is already gone, lol. Is there any way for you to reduce the um... verticalness of your shaving storage? Perhaps seeing about that would lessen the chances of gravity aiming its fury towards other shaving breakables. I just crowd stuff around my sink in a semi-organized manner...seems safer that way. :tongue_sm

Double subs,I could not imagine what that sounds like.I have a 12 inch Premier Accoustic PA-120,I think it is one of the best subs for the money

Sorry for your loss. Congrats on such a spankin' home theater system though! I can barely turn my tinny little speakers embedded in my TV before my wife is asking me to turn it down. I guess a crappy sound system is a small price to pay for such a lovely lady! :w00t:

My condolences.

I understand and agree about your wife.. Seems as if I turn the volume to where I can enjoy it, it gets turned right back down by my lovely wife. Here's hoping she works most Saturday's for football season.

I'm sorry for your loss, but your post made me think of this picture.

The PA-120 is definitely a great sub. Captures the ground shake without the warbling some lesser subs are known for. I like the dual sub setup because the 10in provides great punch for tighter sounds, and the 12 will rattle the house!
