Any suggestions for an Aveeno replacement?

It seems that Aveeno has taken their shave gel off the shelves. I've used C.O. Bigelow shave cream and unscented shave soaps in the past, but none have had the effect of Aveeno on my skin. It was the ONLY shave cream that worked for me, because my skin is very sensitive. Anyone have any suggestions of a similar product?

Since Aveeno is the only shaving cream that has worked for you, can you tell us a little more about what other shaving creams you have tried, and what didn't work for you with them?

I too found the Aveeno to be most satisfactory. I've tried a number of other creams/soaps/canned goos, and found the Kiss my Face products to be among the best. They're moisturizing, slick, and provide good cushioning. They're fairly easy to locate, so I'd put them on my short list, personally.

Before getting into DE shaving I used Aveeno Ultra Calming shaving cream and daily moisturizer. I had very dry and sensitive skin. I also have rosacea.

When I switched to DE shaving I began using Proraso Green Tea and Aloe shaving soap and Nivea Sensitive After Shave Balm. They've done wonders for me, and I no longer need the daily moisturizer.

Three weeks ago I switched to handmade soap from a local shop. My skin hasn't looked or felt this good since I took prescription medication for rosacea four years ago.

I have ordered some samples of higher-end shaving soaps, creams, and after shave balms. Hopefully they will work as well as the budget Proraso and Nivea. If not I'll certainly have no qualms about going back.

IMO, it's a chepaer Aveeno Therapeutic : similar formulation, has oatmeal and allantoin.

Also has that Almondy-Marzipan scent
