Any ideas on this razor?

My father-in-law, knowing my developing RAD, today gifted me a razor he says he has used for a long number of years. It has no markings whatsovere that I can see but am curious as to whether it is recognisable? Obviously, it is of significant sentimental value, but he seemed to think that it was quite the valuable antique.


It is TTO with white ivoryish handle (similar to Gillette Knack without lines). Any ideas or is it just a generic razor of no particular identity?

I do not know it's DNA. But being from your father-in-law I would value it as "it was quite the valuable antique."

Thanks, my own sentiments too. I actually do value it as it is something that someone close to me values, was just really curious as to whether it had any particular identity.

looks like one of the eastern european gillette copys, a lot of these type of copys seem to come up on ebay from hungary.
