Another way to fill hollow handles

I used to use epoxy or coins to fill old handles but I wanted something lighter this time so I'm using a wood dowel cut and sanded to fit. I'm very happy with the result and will glue them together when I finish sanding and polishing.

Well done. Another method that keeps the weight down is to use synthetic corks. They do not absorb anything and you get them at any wine making supply store. Cheap

Good work! It amazes me how many of these old brushes are out there. My wife handed me a cork last night for filler. I have 3 to do this weekend. I'll have to come up with something else for 2 of them.
