Joe is the man, no doubt about it. Frickin' Canadians and their good customer service and great prices!
I briefly lived in Canada. It was culture shock from the poor customer service in Miami.
I have also ordered from IB. My very first online order for Proraso and Bic Chrome Platinum blades were from IB. Great service and they took the time to answer my silly newbie questions via email. I will always remember that.
I ordered from IB on October 2nd. The package arrived yesterday! That's just four days of delivery time from Canada to Virginia. I was stunned at the fast delivery. If that were not enough of a surprise, I discovered one item of my order, Wool Fat shaving soap in a brown wooden bowl, was not in a wooden bowl but a classy-looking ceramic bowl. Yet, I was just charged for the wooden bowl. I didn't notice the ceramic bowl at the time I prepared my order so I checked the website. It is offered for some $10 more than the wooden bowl. I emailed Joe because I thought it was an oversight and I felt a bit guilty about it. He responded immediately and apologized for not notifying me earlier. He ran out of wooden bowls and upgraded it to a ceramic bowl. He intended to let me know, but it slipped his mind. I dare say anyone who moves with his speed at customer service is bound to forget something sometime. No wonder he is held in such high esteem on this board. He will see more of my orders in the near future.
Most certainly the preferred provider for my shave products. 95% of the things I own, are from The Italian Barber.
I am a recent convert. I ordered KIng Louis Lavender for RazoRocktober, and got it within 3 days!
I received my 300ml size Proraso from Italian Barber last week. Very happy with the level of service, and I will most definitely shop here again!
