Ambrose Chocolate English Bridle Strop

My new soft touch chocolate english bridle strop came in from Ambrose today. I still need to break it in but right out of the package it has a very dominant draw. I like it myself and I hope my edges will too. Its a little shorter than my other strops from Jose' but when I use it I don't have to cut my stroke short. It almost seems custom tailored to my arm. Thank Jose!

With Tony Miller winding down his production it is really good that someone has stepped up to the plate making quality products, as these seem to be. :thumbup1:

Speaking of horse butts…

It looks like Ambrose is making some really nice pieces and with great variety. If I were looking to buy instead of making my own I think I'd be adding one of these to my collection as well.

Nice work.

I have two of his strops and they're top notch! Jose is a great guy to deal with too! Can't go wrong with any of his stuff.

Nice compliment from the legend, himself... way to go, Jose!

*edit* I have one of these on the way too... I can't wait to see it.

What a great compliment! And I would also like to give props to Tony for being such a class act.

I read a couple places, and Ambrose also recommended to me to rub your hand over it every day before you use it to warm it and break it in. Just rub your palm up and down the strop swiftly.

I do this, but mine is Spanish Bridle Leather. It warms up nicely.
