I received a sampler PIF from a kind B&Ber way back at the beginning of the year, and I'm down to 2 untried blades; a Feather and a Gillette Super Thin (Vietnamese). Now, where to go from here?
First: Which should I fire up next (day after tomorrow when I shave again)?
Second: What's the best place to buy blades? Amazon? Out of the batch Deruitem sent, I enjoyed Shark SS, Gillette 7 o'clock Yellow, and the ubiquitous Astra SP. I was 'meh' on Crystal, Super-Max, and Dorco ST301.
I will NOT be buying Derbys ever. I used 3 of the 10-pack I bought, broke #4 in half after reading about shavettes, trashed another one after reading a thread about making a shavette out of popcicle sticks (yes, I had to go try to make one myself, promptly pitched it), test drove a 6th just to be sure I didn't like them, and the rest went straight into the blade bank.
