Seems like a good country to move to with lots of US dollars. Could live like a king in the Czech Republic.

At least, with only 8 current feedbacks, you're giving him a chance to build a reputation as a reliable seller. That can be profitable for him later on.

As a nice gesture, I would offer to cover S/H charges :001_smile...Call me crazy, but hey, that's me.

You're a true gentleman, Robert. Most would say that's the chance you take selling on Ebay and leave it at that.

I had something like this happen when I won a nice Old Spice mug and a beat up brush for a couple of dollars. Shipping was something quoted at like $5. When the package came and I saw that the seller paid like $8.50 or so for shipping, I felt a little bad. But I guess it's an understood risk of selling on the bay.

Thank you for the kind words KT :001_smile...in my view, part of doing business is the intangibles that are not captured in any contract. Paying for S/H would probably not only gain me a product that I wanted, but also a possible friendship...

Cheers,
Robert

Nice New and win to the OP.

I've been on the other side of it. I sold some stuff on the Bay and offered free shipping, hoping it would attract more buyers. Well, it didn't really work, so I ended up forking out nearly as much for shipping as I got from the sale. As has already been said, that's just the way of the Bay. If you're going to sell there, you need to be willing to accept occasional disappointments.

Any bargains on e bay is a rarity these days, so enjoy it while you can, last year i had the same luck, a cased tech, unopened with the plastic wrapper still on the razor box (ons) for £99p:thumbup1:i have been through the same though, lost money selling, but thats e bay!

Unfortunately, that's the cost of being a seller on Ebay. Sometimes you make money, sometimes you lose money. But in the Czech Republic, I think a US cent is worth like $100 dollars in their money? Or are they using the Euro now too?

The guy probably works in the post office, and just made a week's salary off your shipping. The purchase price of 01 cent probably buys a state subsidized pint of local lager at his favorite pub.

Okay maybe he doesn't have it that good. So if it ships promptly be sure and give that guy a solid 5 stars and see what else he is selling.

I wouldn't feel bad at all. It's part of the risk someone takes when selling on eBay. However, if you want to ease your conscience, you can do something about the shipping as someone has suggested.
