Aging of Rooney Heritage handles.

Just curious. I seem to remember that when the Rooney Heritage series was launched there was mention made that the handle is a special plastic that will age and take on a patina similar to real bone. Has anyone noticed any changes in their heritage handles?

I got my Heritage 1/1 from Vintage blades just over a year ago now, I wasn't aware of what you stated but I have been noticing it is not as white or shall I say bright white as when it was new.

I have three heritage brushes but haven't noticed any change. I have had the brushes for over a year and one for almost two years.

Just happened to read this post as I've been wanting to get a heritage and read about your three heritages.

If you decide to part with your Alibaba, please let me know. Been searching on the BST with no luck.

I sold one that I had for about a year and noticed no change in its appearance. I think it would take a long time but could possibly be speeded up by daily use. When ivory was no longer available for handgun grips, synthetics were developed that were supposed to age. I don't think that ever happened and the common method to enhance the appearance and give it an aged look was to dunk it in coffee or tea for an extended period. I never tried it and wouldn't recommend it but I think it does work if that's the look you are after. I kind of liked the color of the Heritage handles and never expected them to age.
