I have purchased a supply of samples - most in a size large enough to come in a spray.
I own TOBS #74 Original and Cuban Cedar and Lime by Bathhouse, so SWIMBO is happy.
From my samples I like Aqua di Parma Colonia, but that's pretty close to what I already have.
My favorites so far:
Eau des Baux
Spicebomb
TF Gray Vetiver
TF Tobacco Vanille
Rochas Man
I have a few more samples left to try (Sycomore, Mugler Cologne, L'Occitan L'occitane, Egoiste, Ambre Precieux).
Here's (finally) the question: what to purchase? I have a limited budget and the Tom Ford's are budget busters. I'm definitely buying a bottle of Eau des Baux - my favorite to date. The Rochas Man is also on my purchase list as it is nice and it is inexpensive.
I seem to be leaning heavily toward orientals (at least my understanding of the term) and enjoy a sweet, woody dry down. Should I stay with the samples for a while? Is it smart to buy a collection that is essentially a variation on a theme?
