I've decided to enter the world of straight razor shaving. The problem I'm faced with is I think I've made a mistake in my first razor purchase. I've ordered a GB Buckingham & Sons blade. I've been doing some research and it appears that these razors are not well thought of. Is that the case? Do any of you have any experience with this product? Any thoughts are more than welcome.

Sorry to say they are pretty much junk. See if you can get a refund.
They're basically made of putty.
The good news is that you don't have to spend a ton to get started with a straight. Try one of the deals from Larry at http://whippeddog.com. Many of us got our first straights from Larry. He gives you exactly what you need, and for not much money. I imagine there will now be a flood of praise for him, and it'll be well-deserved.
