A Shark attack...

B&B's Man in Italy
Two weeks ago I purchased 100 Shark Super Chrome DE razor blades from West Coast Shaving.
And this morning I had my very first shave with one of these magnificent razor blades.
Amazing.
Truly amazing.
These blades are VERY sharp and VERY smooth.
I got an incredible close, irritation free and comfortable shave!
The Shark Super Chrome blades seem to be a bit sharper and a bit less forgiving than the Israeli Red pack Personna, which are my current favourite Double Edge razor blades.
That said, I am totally satisfied with my purchase and with the great shave I got.
Shark blades have a high reputation among experienced wet shavers and now have deserved a spot in my very short list of top quality blades.
One pic attached.

P.S. West Coast Shaving = Top-notch products, great customer service and excellent prices.:thumbup1:

Agreed, they are nice. I've tried both the Super Chromes and the Super Stainless, and I can't feel any difference between them. Others here report the Super Chromes as the smoother of the two, which makes sense. For my part, I see them as a "budget Iridium". They certainly are on-par with each other.

Hi Marco, I also tried out a Shark blade this week and I agree with your comparison to the Red Personnas... A top notch blade, a little sharper and a little less forgiving; a great value-for-money blade.:thumbup1:

I agree with you. I also purchased some Shark blades (2 X 5 packs) to try out because I had heard good stuff about them. I currently use Derbys and the Sharks are very close - maybe even better than the Derbys. However, I did notice that the Sharks only last me about 4 shaves. I can go a whole week with Derbys. Also, I do shave every day.

Very good blades, great packaging. This is what Lord has done. They've taken old blade brands from the past that went out of business or whatever long ago and resurrected the brands. It's cool. But I always wonder if they're pumping out most of these blades with the same specs under different names.

Good blades, the SS and Chromes.

I originally started with a sample of the Chromes. After getting bulk pack of SS, I thought I liked the Chromes better. But when I went back to the Chrome, I found that the SS actually "bites" into my whiskers better, giving a more efficient, faster shave. While the Chromes feel slightly smoother, they don't seem to cut my hair quite as well. Because of that, I have to do extra passes/touchup with the Chromes and end up getting more irritation compared to the SS.

So for me, the Chromes are slightly smoother feeling, but the SS cuts better and ultimately gives me a better shave. YMMV, of course.

The SS are my go to blades. Love em.

I really wish I could get the Sharks here in the UK, cannot seem to find anywhere that stocks them. Anyone any suggestions?

Melyus or store34 on ebay has them. Both ship from Turkey at reasonable rates and both are super reliable.

I purchased 100 of the Shark SS some time back. At the time I was into medium blades, such as crystals. I find the sharks about the same.
Since then I've gone back to feathers, but the sharks will return to my rotation, I am sure.
