I swear, in the 1970s, they sold a thing called a Bomar Rib for those with Python envy. You glued it on. 
Also, high-end maker Llama (!) sold an auto with a Pythonesque rib.
People SEE the rib, but forget: it was the glossy Colt royal blue, the smooth trigger ...
those grips which are too fat at the end ...

I wish they made the new one in that glossy royal blue. I will take that over the SS on the new ones.
