A difference between blue lady Gillettes

I picked up another Blue Star Lady Gillette on Sunday and When I got home I noticed that it was a totally different shade of blue than my first one, the new one is a brighter blue where as my original one is more of a silver blue. Has anyone else noticed this before. I love these razors, for someone with stiff fat fingers like mine these long razors with their deep textured knurling of the handle and the TTO knob make holding the razor and changing the blades so easy ond comfortable, not to mention that they may be one of the most attractive razors ever made. They definitely look more suited to a man than a woman....at least I feel they do!:001_cool:

Yes, as noted in numerous threads about the Lady Gillette, she came in 4 different colors: Pink, Orange/Champagne/Yellow/Gold (you get the idea, people call this one color different things), Light Blue and Darker Blue.

Obviously I have a horrible camera but here's mine, left to right, light blue, dark blue, champagne and pink.

(and in case anyone asks, you can get the stand at Bed, Bath & Beyond for $12.99 or $10.40 if you go to their web site and sign up your email for a 20% off coupon you take to the store and once you do this, they usually email you a new coupon once a month)

The Lady Gillette, the Knack and the long handled Black Beauty Super adjustable are probably the only razors that can touch the bottom of that stand. I saw that stand the other day at B, B&B.

Wow, yeah, that stand is perfect for the Ladies.

My wife has the light blue Lady. I've thought about chasing down the other three for my collection, but my attention is on the higher-end Gillettes at the moment.

Nice Stand... Is the center post multiple peices with a threaded rod? If so it would be cake to use a pipe cutter and shorten the center section. Hmm, maybe a trip to BB&B is in order...

I just tried to unscrew mine and it didn't work. There may be a screw in the bottom that's holding the center bar on but I'm not removing the thick foam/rubber bottom to check. :tongue_sm
