And then there is the joy of lathering I would miss. Only so many days that we are allotted on this earth, it's a shame to put aside the pleasures of a shave and lose a day.

I agree about the lathering, I have found myself making up some lather just to smell the shave cream and not shave, I love the smell of it!! What about taking the blade out of the razor and "faking it?!"

It would be like shooting blanks!!
