Shave 234 - 234 of 234
The Blackland Tradere SB is my daily driver and really hits all of the marks for me.
The Polsilver blade while loved by many works well for me but there is something about how it feels while shaving that I’m not crazy about so my remaining Polsilvers will go to a home where they can be better appreciated.
The Rudy Vey Persian Jar is set with a Shavemac 22mm (Rudy measured at 23mm) 2 band silvertip knot which is my favorite knot. 2 other brushes all have the same knot and each is a joy to use. The Beagle may have the most backbone and the 2018 LE may be the softest, but the differences are not great. There are a lot of truly excellent brushes made, but Rudy’s brushes are always wonderful.
MdC Original has become my top soap. The 130g size in the La Canele bowl was my introduction to MdC. I just purchased this same soap in the Brain Bowl but don’t expect to open it for months. Over 100 shaves in to the 130g size I have no reason to believe I won’t get another 100 shaves or more from it. If I had to use just one word to describe MdC, it would be “clean”. I really enjoy this soap.
When home I always finish with Dickenson’s WH and then a splash. Today’s splash was Fine Latigo.
Given my propensity to ramble on this forum, my next post to this thread will be at least a week and probably several weeks from now. I fully intend to be 365 of 365 on December 31st.
