Saturday 8th May, shave #128, 35% complete.

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: MWF
Brush: Men-U boar
Razor: Rockwell 6S R3, Astra SS #2, Mach 3 played supporting role
Post-shave: Nivea Balm.

Second try with an Astra SS. The R3 plate did a reasonable job of taming it. I liked the pass 1 WTG performance. It's sharper than an Astra Green, but a lot less smooth. Face shave was a DFS.

After doing my neck WTG, and not liking it, I baled out, and used a Mach 3 (use count unknown) to finish.

It's surprising how much difference there is between the Astra SS and SP.

Sunday 9th May, shave #129.

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: MWF
Brush: Men-U boar
Razor: GC.68 SB, Astra SP #3
Post-shave: Nivea 2-Phase Lotion.

That felt luxuriously smooth after the Astra SS. BBS face.

Tried a more ambitious angle on my neck, getting a slightly better DFS, which I'm happy with. BBS there would probably be a Pyrrhic victory.

Day 130 ~ Shave 131 ~ Score 9/10

Was a bit pressed for time this morning so I repeated yesterday's shave and lovely it was too :)

I did get a bit of lather tingle for some reason but the matching splash soothed the old visage nicely. I have been very impressed with Razorock's aftershaves - they smell great (not too strong but with impressive staying power) and my skin seems to do well with them.

I agree on RR splash. I also used a RR soap today for shave #130 with matching splash and it has excellent residual scent for a few hours compared to the Clubman that I've been using.

Monday 10th May, shave #130.

Preshave: Hot washcloth, KoS Blue oil
Soap: Canned Foam (Skinguard)
Razor: GC.68 SB, Astra SP #4
Post-shave: Nivea 2-Phase Lotion.

Since it was late, tried using canned foam to save time (it didn't, though). Got a plausible DFS... eventually, but this stuff is at least twice as thick as optimised MWF lather. Either you put up with that, or try to thin it with water, which takes time. Somehow I don't think I'm going to 3017 my canned foams.

Post-shave was comfortable.
