wait 3 months for no reason, except to have new baby,
then order 18mm pure badger (red), 22 mm silvertip (blue/white) and 24mm finest badger (blue) from the golden nib. Set 18mm at the max loft and the two larger knots at 53mm loft, and glue with marine goop.

Pre bloom- tweezerman and CE BBB for comparison

Review: the pure badger is certainly nicer than the tweezerman (is that hard?), but not quite as luxurios as my CE BBB. the finest is nice and smooth not at all scritchy, but the handle is a little larger than I'm used to, I could use this one every day. the silvertip is really nice, but not worlds better than the CE BBB, but much more dense, and still a little scritchy. Packs a large dollop of lather.:001_smile

Nice work! I like your thoughts on the knots too. I have a couple of handles that I need to finish and I can't decide what to put in them.

Very, very nice. My restored Ever ready looks similar to your blue and white handle and I had Mike do the resto for me with a 22mm two band finest knot from the Nib. It's so nice I'd like to have some more brushes, but it's due to Brush AD, not because I need them. It's a wonderful brush.

Very nice! I have a red and black EverReady brush like yours (my dad had one just like it when I was a kid). Are the 18mm knots available in superbadger or silvertip, or only in best?

Dave

Been out of town, Thanks for the compliments.

Dave, the 18mm was only available in best badger when I bought it, and I like that knot very well. It has a nice feel and is actually quite dense for it's size, and I would not hesitate to use is daily. I set it as shallow as I could to get the most loft.
good luck with your restoration.

That red and black Everready looks awesome. I just bought my first vintage brush on eBay and am looking forward to restoring it.
