3 new Simpsons brushes

I just received these 3 brushes in the last few days, and they are all just beautiful! I tried out the CH3 yesterday, and it lathers like a champ. I was going to use the PJ2, but when I removed it from the box, it looked unused (the person I bought it from said it was NOS, but I wanted to see for myself), so I can’t get myself to actually use it. I think I’ll just let it sit on the shelf with the others. The CH2 hasn’t been used yet since it just arrived about 30 minutes ago, but I’ll take it for a spin tomorrow. Does anyone have any idea how old the PJ2 is? It came in it’s original gray box. It feels like Christmas !

That Persian Jar is from the Somerset era, -- very nice! I'd use it just like I use my Somerset PJ3.

Well I couldn’t wait until tomorrow, so I decided to use the CH2 in Best Badger. Man did that thing STINK after I soaked it. I used the B&M Spice soap, and as fragrant as it is, it could not cover up the badger funk. So I took the opportunity to give the brush a thorough cleaning and lather, and then I decided to lather up some P. 160 (I originally bought a Kilo block back in 2012, and I still have 6 x 100 g left...each 100g chunk has been vacuum sealed individually). It still stank, but my GOODNESS it lathered up that P.160 better than any other brush I have ever used. It was effortless. I did lose 4 bristles from the first lather, but I was beyond impressed. I love my Manchurians, but the Best Badger, at least to me, is a close second! I’ll keep working that funk out of the brush, but this brush IS AMAZING. The CH3 I have is also impressive, but I think the CH2 has the perfect weight and size for me. Finally, it bloomed nicely after just one shave. My setup was the CH2 with a Gillette Slim, a Feather blade, and Phoenix Shaving Sun Down, which is currently in my top 4 soaps.
