1st Test Drive> > > Gillette Super Adjustable

Hi Gents: I hope all is well with you & your families. Tonight. . . I had my 1st test drive with a 1969 Gillette Super Adjustable aka "Black Beauty". I had it dialed @ #7 for the entire face (sink) & dome (shower) shave with a Feather. I thoroughly enjoyed this.razor. There is just something special when you go vintage. Enclosed is my 1st Black Beauty SOTD. Isn't she pretty?!?

I would like to find Short Handle version of Black Beauty but no luck so far. Were they produced in smaller numbers then Long Handle version or is that just my impression?

I believe the numbers are the same size as the Long Handle version. I really enjoyed my 1st maiden voyage. I know that I'm going to love the BB. I was fortunate to get the Short Handle from a quality B&Ber on B/S/T.

Man... This site gives me some serious Razor Envy.

I've went to a half dozen antique shops so far, and all I seem to find are Techs, News, etc. I have yet to find an adjustable.

I have a short-handled Super Adjustable (1970 vintage; can't remember the exact date code). It's an excellent razor.
