1941 or 1947?

Gentlemen: please see the razor I purchased today at an estate sale. From information I read here, I believe it to be a 1947 ss. But in reading another post, I'm confused that it might have been manufactured in 1941. It has no date codes. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!

The smooth band at the bottom means it's not a 47 ss. but is instead a ranger tech (assuming that nickel is its true color). The ranger tech case it's in means it probably is a ranger.

I'm looking at this on my phone so it's hard to see the pics of the ends of the silos. If they have the cap it's a 46, if no cap it's a 41. This is a ranger, in 47 they started the SS, this is it's predecesor. So either a 41 or 46.

You have no end caps plus there is text on the smooth band by the tto knob...

Congrats, on your 1941 Ranger Tech.....

Very nice score by the way.
I assume you didn't pay an arm and a leg for it. Ranger techs and cases in that condition have been pulling in a pretty penny on eBay lately.

Thanks all, for the input. I think that clears the confusion for me. By the way, Amishmotorboat, I paid $6. Near as I can tell, that is a fair bit under the going eBay rate. Thanks for the help.

Nice score, and I thought mine was cheap at $39 and I didn't even get a case with it. You are gonna love the way it shaves.

$6 for a nice cased Ranger Tech!?! I really got to get to these Estate Sales. Way to go! They clean up really nice.

The Ranger Tech is a really nice razor and the predecessor to the Super Speed made some 6 years later. It appears to have a more refined nickel plating then more recent models. It should clean up very nicely. Mine looks in near mine condition with a perfect case. However it cost me many times what you probably paid for yours.
